For applications requiring additional low frequency impact, the FP8 can be partnered with suitable Martin Audio subwoofers as part of a wider system design.
The cabinet is constructed from durable birch plywood and finished in black hardwearing paint, giving it the strength required for both fixed installation and portable use. A quick-release steel grille with triple-layer polyester backing protects the driver while allowing convenient access for rotation and servicing. The cabinet also includes two handle pockets, helping with practical handling during setup, transport and positioning.
Connectivity is provided via two NLT4MPXX-BAG speakON connectors, supporting input and link connections for professional loudspeaker system wiring. The FP8 can also achieve an IP54 rating when fitted with two compatible speakON NLT4FXX connectors, making it suitable for selected applications where improved environmental resistance is required, subject to correct installation and system design.
Mounting flexibility is a major strength of the FP8. It includes 4x M10 fixing points, 15x M6 fixing points and a dual pole-mount socket, allowing it to be used with compatible yokes, installation brackets, truss mounting hardware or speaker stands. This makes it equally useful for permanent AV installations and adaptable production environments.
