The Martin Audio FlexPoint FP15 is a very high-output passive coaxial point source loudspeaker designed for professional sound reinforcement, portable production and fixed installation projects where strong projection, low frequency extension and premium audio quality are required. As the largest full-range model in the FlexPoint range, the FP15 is built for demanding applications that need the performance of a powerful standalone loudspeaker with the flexibility of an installation and touring-friendly cabinet.
The FP15 features a 15" low frequency driver with a 3.5" voice coil and a 1.4" exit high frequency driver with a 3" titanium diaphragm. This coaxial point source configuration helps deliver a coherent and consistent sound field, supporting clear speech, detailed music playback and high-output reinforcement from a single cabinet. Its 15" driver gives the FP15 a fuller low frequency response than smaller FlexPoint models, making it suitable for more demanding full-range applications.
With 500W AES power handling and 2000W peak capability, the FP15 provides substantial output for live sound, theatre, corporate AV, high-power stage monitoring, DJ systems, houses of worship, performance venues and fixed commercial installations. Its peak SPL capability of 132dB makes it well suited to environments where higher sound levels and stronger projection are required.
The 80° horizontal x 50° vertical dispersion pattern provides controlled coverage for short and medium-throw applications. This narrower coverage pattern helps direct energy into the required audience area, supporting improved intelligibility and reducing excessive spill into surrounding spaces. The user-rotatable drive unit also allows the loudspeaker to be used in either portrait or landscape orientation, helping align coverage with the room layout, stage position or mounting arrangement.
The FP15 offers a frequency response of 50Hz–20kHz ±3dB, with usable low frequency extension down to 39Hz at -10dB when used with the correct preset. This gives the loudspeaker a powerful and full-bodied tonal balance, allowing it to operate effectively as a standalone full-range cabinet in many applications. Where extended sub-bass or greater low frequency impact is required, it can also be combined with suitable Martin Audio subwoofers as part of a larger system.
The cabinet is constructed from durable birch plywood and finished in black hardwearing paint, giving it the strength required for both portable and installed professional use. A quick-release steel grille with triple-layer polyester backing protects the driver while allowing fast access to the rotatable coaxial assembly. Twin handle pockets assist with lifting, transport and positioning.
Mounting flexibility is a key benefit of the FP15. The cabinet includes 4x M10 fixing points, 17x M8 fixing points and a dual pole-mount socket with 0° and 15° down-tilt options. This allows the loudspeaker to be used with compatible yokes, wall brackets, rigging bars, pole mounts and installation accessories, supporting a wide range of deployment methods.
The FP15 can achieve an IP54 rating when fitted with two compatible speakON NLT4FXX connectors, making it suitable for selected applications where improved resistance to dust and water ingress is required. Correct connector selection, installation method and system design are important when using the loudspeaker in more demanding environments.
