The Pioneer DJ XDJ-RX3 is a professional all in one 2 channel DJ system developed by AlphaTheta, combining the performance workflow of flagship club equipment with the flexibility of a standalone DJ setup. Designed for professional DJs, mobile performers and small venues, the XDJ RX3 delivers powerful mixing capability, advanced browsing tools and high quality audio performance in a single integrated system.
Drawing inspiration from the AlphaTheta CDJ-3000 multi player and the Pioneer DJ DJM-900NXS2 mixer, the XDJ RX3 offers a familiar club style layout that allows DJs to transition easily between standalone systems and professional club booths. The system provides precise control and intuitive performance features that support both practice and live DJ performances.
At the centre of the system is a large 10.1 inch high resolution touchscreen, offering smooth waveform displays and a redesigned graphical interface for faster browsing and track selection. DJs can navigate music libraries quickly using the touchscreen interface, while Playlist Bank provides instant access to favourite playlists. The Touch Preview feature allows sections of a track to be monitored before loading it to a deck, improving preparation during live sets.
The jog wheels include integrated colour displays that show track artwork and playhead position, allowing DJs to monitor track progress while performing. The Feeling Adjust control allows the jog wheel resistance to be customised, enabling DJs to fine tune the response for scratching or pitch bending.
Creative performance is enhanced with a wide selection of professional effects inherited from the DJM series mixers. The system includes 14 Beat FX and 6 Sound Color FX, giving DJs a broad range of sound shaping options. Release FX allows performers to instantly change the energy of a track by triggering effects such as Vinyl Brake, Backspin or Echo Out using the performance pads.
The XDJ RX3 supports rekordbox analysed tracks played directly from USB drives, while laptop connectivity enables integration with rekordbox Performance mode and Serato DJ Pro. This flexibility makes the system suitable for both standalone performance and software based DJ workflows.
