The Optimal Audio Up 6 is a two-way passive 6-inch ceiling speaker designed to deliver consistent coverage and full-frequency sound in commercial environments requiring higher sound pressure levels. Engineered for cost-conscious installations without compromising performance, Up 6 is ideal for hotels, concourses, retail outlets, bars and restaurants.
An integral fixing system ensures fast, clean installation, while the steel backcan and perforated steel grille provide durability and controlled acoustic performance. Finished in neutral white, Up 6 integrates seamlessly into a wide range of ceiling designs.
Up 6 features a 6-inch low-frequency driver paired with a 0.7-inch metal dome tweeter, delivering clear speech intelligibility and high-quality music reproduction. A conical 110-degree coverage pattern ensures even sound distribution across the listening area, providing consistent performance where it is needed most.
Each Up 6 can operate on selectable 70V or 100V line taps, or in low-impedance mode. A dedicated 16-ohm setting allows up to four loudspeakers to be connected to a single amplifier channel in low-impedance systems. Tap selection is made via a rotary switch located behind the removable grille for simple configuration.
Optional Pendant 2 and Grille 2 accessories extend installation flexibility, allowing Up 6 to be suspended as a pendant or fitted with a sleek, bezel-less grille. These accessories are available in black or white to suit different architectural environments.
When powered by a SmartAmp or powered Zone, Up 6 benefits from engineered presets that optimise sound performance and provide loudspeaker protection. Integration with Zone and WebApp enables straightforward system setup and intuitive end-user control, with optional ZonePad wall controllers providing additional local control.
