The Optimal Audio Up 4 is a discreet two-way 4-inch ceiling speaker designed to deliver consistent coverage and full-frequency sound in cost-conscious commercial environments. Suitable for hotels, concourses, retail outlets, bars and restaurants, Up 4 provides clear speech intelligibility and balanced background music from a compact, unobtrusive ceiling format.
An integral fixing system enables fast, clean installation, while the steel backcan and perforated steel grille provide durability and acoustic control. Finished in neutral white, Up 4 blends seamlessly into a wide range of architectural settings.
Up 4 features a 4-inch low-frequency driver paired with a 0.7-inch silk dome tweeter, delivering smooth, natural sound for both speech and music. A conical 120-degree coverage pattern ensures even sound distribution across the listening area, reducing hotspots and drop-off.
Each Up 4 can be operated on selectable 70V or 100V line taps, or in low-impedance mode, with tap selection made via a rotary switch located behind the removable grille. Optional Pendant 1 and Grille 1 accessories extend installation flexibility, allowing the speaker to be suspended as a pendant or fitted with a sleek, bezel-less grille. These accessories are available in black or white to suit different design requirements.
When powered by a SmartAmp or powered Zone, Up 4 benefits from engineered presets that optimise sound quality and provide loudspeaker protection. Integration with Zone and WebApp enables straightforward system setup and intuitive end-user control, with optional ZonePad wall controllers offering additional local control where required.
