The Optimal Audio Cuboid 3 is a compact 2-way passive loudspeaker designed to deliver high-quality background music and clear speech reproduction in distributed commercial audio systems. With its small form factor and refined acoustic design, it is ideally suited to environments where discreet aesthetics and consistent sound performance are essential.
Featuring a 3.5-inch low-frequency driver and a 0.5-inch PEI dome high-frequency driver coupled to a shallow waveguide, the Cuboid 3 provides smooth frequency response and controlled high-frequency dispersion. This ensures even coverage and strong intelligibility across a wide listening area, making it particularly effective in retail, hospitality and corporate environments.
The Cuboid 3 is engineered for flexible installation, supplied with mounting hardware that allows positioning in either portrait or landscape orientation. This enables seamless integration into a wide range of spaces while maintaining a clean and unobtrusive appearance. An optional weatherproof terminal cover is available, increasing the enclosure rating to IP54 and allowing use in sheltered outdoor applications such as terraces and covered walkways.
For enhanced low-frequency performance, the Cuboid 3 can be paired with subwoofers such as the Optimal Audio Sub 10, creating a more complete full-range system. When used in conjunction with Optimal Audio SmartAmp or powered Zone controllers, the system benefits from engineered presets that optimise sound quality and provide loudspeaker protection. Integration with Zone and WebApp platforms enables streamlined system setup and intuitive end-user control, with optional ZonePad wall controllers offering additional localised adjustment where required.
