Description
The Martin Audio XP12 is a compact, self-powered two-way loudspeaker engineered to deliver class-leading performance in small to mid-sized indoor venues, combining high-output capability with advanced DSP control in a portable and installation-friendly format. It features a 12-inch low-frequency driver with a 2.5-inch voice coil and powerful magnet assembly for tight, controlled bass response, paired with a 1-inch exit high-frequency compression driver utilising a 1.75-inch polyimide diaphragm for extended, distortion-free high-frequency reproduction.
An onboard Class D amplifier module delivers a combined 1300W peak output, with 1000W allocated to the low-frequency section and 300W to the high-frequency driver. Integrated DSP is accessed via a rear-panel rotary control interface and multi-function colour display, offering crossover management, a three-channel mixer with three-band EQ per input, high-pass filtering on channels one and two, and three selectable voicing and operating presets for flexible deployment without external processing. Independent RMS and peak limiters on both LF and HF sections ensure consistent performance and long-term reliability.
The XP12 features a user-rotatable 80° x 50° high-frequency horn, enabling vertical or horizontal orientation for PA or stage monitor use, supported by a symmetrical multi-angle enclosure design. Bluetooth functionality allows wireless control and audio streaming where required. Constructed from durable plywood and finished in hard-wearing black textured paint, the cabinet is protected by a screw-free, cloth-backed steel grille that prevents dust ingress while maintaining low-frequency airflow. Integrated ergonomic handles support portability, while M8 flying inserts, a pole-mount socket with removable cap, and compatibility with wall brackets provide flexible mounting options. The XP12 represents a powerful and adaptable loudspeaker solution for professional applications from Martin Audio.
