The Martin Audio XP118 is a compact, high-performance powered subwoofer engineered to deliver powerful and extended low-frequency reinforcement for professional portable and installed sound systems. It features a long-excursion 18-inch driver with a 4-inch voice coil, housed in a compact reflex enclosure with four large frontal ports designed to minimise turbulent air noise and maintain clean, controlled bass output at very high sound pressure levels.
A convection-cooled Class D amplifier module delivers 2000W peak output, providing deep low-frequency extension and impactful punch, extending the combined system response with XP12 or XP15 full-range loudspeakers down to 42Hz. Integrated DSP is accessed via a rear-panel rotary encoder and multi-function colour display, offering crossover management, EQ adjustment, metering and system control without the need for external processing. Independent peak and RMS limiters ensure reliable performance and driver protection, while Bluetooth capability enables wireless control and streaming where required.
Constructed from durable plywood and finished in textured black paint, the XP118 is built to withstand the rigours of professional use. A perforated steel grille protects the driver, while two ergonomic side handles aid handling and transport. The cabinet includes a 35mm pole-mount socket for satellite speaker mounting and can be deployed singly, stacked or flown using integral M10 inserts.
