The Martin Audio CDD10TX-WR is a weatherised 10” installation loudspeaker designed for professional commercial audio systems that require strong output, 70V/100V line operation and enhanced environmental protection. Available in black or white, it is suitable for indoor projects as well as sheltered outdoor or semi-exposed areas where a robust architectural loudspeaker is required.
As the weatherised transformer version of the CDD10, the CDD10TX-WR is designed specifically for high impedance distributed audio systems. It includes an integrated 70V/100V line transformer, allowing multiple loudspeakers to be used across larger areas, longer cable runs or multi-zone installations. This makes it well suited to outdoor hospitality areas, bars, restaurants, hotel terraces, transport hubs, concourses, visitor attractions, leisure venues, education environments and larger commercial spaces.
The speaker uses a 10” low frequency driver with a 2.5” voice coil and a 1” exit high frequency compression driver with a 1.4” voice coil. This coaxial driver arrangement supports clear and coherent sound from a compact enclosure, helping music and speech remain balanced across the listening area. With a frequency response of 65Hz–20kHz ±3dB and useful low frequency extension down to 55Hz at -10dB, the CDD10TX-WR offers a full-range sound suitable for foreground music, speech reinforcement and high-quality distributed audio.
Martin Audio’s Coaxial Differential Dispersion technology is designed to provide more consistent coverage than conventional fixed-pattern loudspeakers. The CDD10TX-WR delivers wider horizontal coverage close to the cabinet while projecting more effectively further into the room or audience area. This helps reduce excessive level differences between listeners positioned near the speaker and those further away, supporting a more even and professional listening experience.
The user-rotatable coaxial driver provides additional installation flexibility. The cabinet can be mounted in portrait or landscape orientation, with the coverage pattern adjusted to suit the project layout. This is particularly useful where wall positions, outdoor structures, ceiling heights, sightlines or seating layouts affect the ideal speaker orientation.
The CDD10TX-WR is rated at 120W AES and 240W peak. The 100V transformer taps are 120W, 60W and 30W, while the 70V taps are 120W, 60W, 30W and 15W. This model is high impedance only and does not include a low impedance operating mode, making it best suited to correctly designed 70V or 100V line systems.
For weatherised applications, the CDD10TX-WR is environmentally rated to IP54 when correctly installed and is suitable for operating temperatures between -20°C and +70°C. The cabinet includes a water and particle resistant grille, zinc plated mild steel protective grille with powder coated finish, weatherised backing, stainless steel fixings and a weatherproof input panel cover with cable gland. It is intended for environments subject to changing conditions but should be sheltered from direct exposure to the elements.
The 28 litre composite enclosure measures 323mm x 513mm x 310mm and weighs 17.1kg. It includes 6x M8 inserts for wall bracket mounting and 10x M8 fly points, supporting professional installation with compatible Martin Audio accessories and correctly rated fixing hardware. Black and white finish options allow the loudspeaker to integrate into a range of commercial, architectural and hospitality environments.
