The Martin Audio CDD-LIVE 15 is a high-output active powered loudspeaker designed for professional sound reinforcement, portable AV systems and fixed installation projects where strong projection, premium audio quality and flexible deployment are required. As the largest full-range model in the CDD-LIVE range, it is built for applications that demand the performance of a serious professional loudspeaker with the convenience of onboard amplification, DSP and networking.
Using a 15" low frequency driver with a 3" voice coil and a 1.4" exit high frequency compression driver with a 3" voice coil, the CDD-LIVE 15 delivers powerful full-range output with clear vocal intelligibility and detailed music reproduction. It is well suited to medium-scale live sound, theatre, corporate AV, houses of worship, performance venues, bars, clubs, event spaces and premium commercial installations.
The CDD-LIVE 15 uses Martin Audio’s Coaxial Differential Dispersion technology to provide more consistent audience coverage than a conventional fixed-pattern loudspeaker. Its coverage pattern is designed to deliver wider horizontal dispersion close to the cabinet and more focused projection further into the listening area. This helps create a smoother level balance across the room, improving the listening experience for people positioned both near to and further away from the speaker.
A major advantage of the CDD-LIVE 15 is its self-powered architecture. The built-in two-channel Class D amplifier delivers 2500W peak output, with 2000W assigned to the low frequency driver and 500W to the high frequency driver. This removes the need for separate amplifier racks and ensures the amplifier, DSP and loudspeaker components are engineered to work together as a complete system.
Onboard DSP provides advanced processing and system control, including EQ, delay, gain, muting and preset selection. Rear panel presets make it suitable for straightforward plug-and-play operation, while Martin Audio’s VU-NET software provides deeper remote control over Ethernet for more complex systems. This makes the CDD-LIVE 15 practical for both standalone use and integrated professional AV environments.
Dante digital audio networking is included, allowing high-quality audio distribution over network cabling using compatible Dante-enabled equipment. This is particularly useful for modern event production, corporate AV and fixed installations where digital routing, reduced analogue cable runs and cleaner infrastructure are important. Analogue XLR input and link connections are also provided for conventional audio setups.
The multi-angle enclosure allows the loudspeaker to be used vertically, horizontally or as a high-output stage monitor. The user-rotatable coaxial driver allows the dispersion pattern to be aligned correctly for the chosen orientation. This gives the CDD-LIVE 15 excellent flexibility across portable live sound, install and monitor applications.
The cabinet is constructed from braced multi-laminate plywood and finished in a hard-wearing textured black PU coating. It includes a top hat for pole mounting and 15x M8 mounting points for compatible wall, yoke and universal bracket accessories. An IP24 factory option is also available with a rain cowl for applications where additional weather protection is required.
With a frequency response of 55Hz–20kHz ±3dB, 132dB peak SPL capability and a substantial 37kg cabinet weight, the CDD-LIVE 15 is designed for professional users who need serious output from a self-contained powered loudspeaker. It can be used as a powerful full-range cabinet or partnered with suitable Martin Audio powered subwoofers for extended low frequency performance.
