The Martin Audio Blackline Q8 is an ultra-compact, passive two-way loudspeaker designed to deliver exceptional versatility across a wide range of professional audio applications, from distributed sound reinforcement and houses of worship to corporate AV, live venues and unobtrusive stage monitoring. Its compact form factor and refined acoustic design make it equally effective as a front-fill, in-fill or short to medium throw main loudspeaker where clarity and control are essential.
When combined with a Blackline Q Series subwoofer, the Q8 forms a powerful yet discreet full-range system suitable for both portable use and fixed installations, delivering pristine sound quality while maintaining a minimal visual footprint. The loudspeaker features a user-rotatable Differential Dispersion horn with a horizontal coverage of 90°–110° and 50° vertical dispersion, allowing precise optimisation for different room layouts and mounting orientations.
Constructed from durable plywood and finished in a tough black textured paint, the enclosure is built for long-term professional use. It incorporates a screw-fixed, cloth-backed perforated steel grille, an integrated ergonomic carry handle made from recycled ABS, and a pole-mount socket with a removable cover to preserve clean aesthetics in installed environments. Flexible mounting options are supported via M6 inserts for wall brackets and M8 inserts for yokes or eyebolt suspension, while dual NL4 connectors and an 8 ohm nominal impedance ensure straightforward system integration.
