The Martin Audio ADORN A55 is a compact passive on-wall loudspeaker supplied as a pair, designed for commercial audio systems where clear sound, discreet styling and reliable installation performance are required. Available in black or white, the A55 is suitable for a wide range of interiors, from darker hospitality venues and performance spaces through to lighter retail, education and corporate environments.
Sitting above the smaller A40 in the ADORN range, the A55 uses a larger 5.25" low frequency driver to deliver increased output, improved low frequency response and greater system headroom. This makes it a strong choice where a compact loudspeaker is required but the application needs more presence, warmth and coverage than a smaller 4" cabinet can typically provide.
Each speaker combines a 5.25" low frequency driver with a 0.75" silk dome high frequency driver, producing a balanced sound suitable for both background and foreground music. The two-way passive design delivers clear midrange, smooth high frequency reproduction and a controlled overall response, making the A55 well suited to everyday commercial use in bars, restaurants, cafés, retail stores, hotels, offices, meeting rooms, education spaces and hospitality areas.
With 50W AES power handling and 200W peak capability, the ADORN A55 provides dependable performance from a compact cabinet. The 16Ω nominal impedance is particularly useful for low impedance distributed systems, allowing multiple loudspeakers to be connected to suitable amplifier channels when the total impedance load is correctly calculated. This makes the A55 a practical option for installers designing multi-speaker systems across smaller rooms, secondary zones or wider commercial spaces.
The 110° x 80° coverage pattern helps provide consistent sound distribution across the listening area. In real-world environments, this helps reduce overly focused hot spots and supports a more even listening experience for customers, guests or staff moving around the space. Whether used for subtle background music, clearer speech reinforcement or more prominent foreground audio, the A55 provides a professional balance of coverage and output.
The A55 has a frequency response of 90Hz–17kHz ±3dB, with extension down to 65Hz at -10dB. This gives the speaker a fuller sound than smaller ultra-compact models while still maintaining a neat, unobtrusive wall-mounted format. For applications requiring additional low frequency impact, the A55 can also be used with a suitable subwoofer as part of a wider installed audio system.
The cabinet is manufactured from ABS and fitted with a perforated steel grille, providing a durable and professional finish for fixed installation projects. Supplied wall brackets allow each speaker to be mounted vertically or horizontally, giving flexibility when working around room layouts, wall space, seating areas and coverage requirements.
