The Martin Audio DX4.0 is a professional Dante audio processor, loudspeaker controller and system matrix designed for advanced installed and live sound systems. With four input channels and eight output channels, it provides flexible signal routing, high-quality DSP and comprehensive loudspeaker management in a compact 1U rackmount format.
Supporting analogue, AES3 and Dante digital audio, the DX4.0 is well suited to modern AV systems where flexible connectivity and networked audio integration are required. Four analogue/AES3 inputs and eight analogue/AES3 outputs are provided on XLR connectors, while Dante networking allows digital audio distribution using primary and secondary RJ45 ports. The unit can also convert analogue or AES audio to Dante, making it a practical interface between traditional audio infrastructure and networked system designs.
The DX4.0 uses high-performance 96kHz DSP to provide detailed loudspeaker control and system optimisation. Processing includes EQ, delay, crossover filtering, all-pass filters and a sophisticated limiter suite with peak, RMS, excursion and multiband limiting. This allows the controller to provide accurate system tuning while helping protect connected loudspeakers during operation.
Remote control and monitoring are handled over Ethernet using Martin Audio’s VU-NET software, with a front panel interface also provided for local operation. This makes the DX4.0 suitable for fixed installations, touring systems, front-of-house matrix duties, Dante feeds to iKON amplifiers and more complex Martin Audio system deployments.
The processor is particularly useful where a system requires more flexibility than a smaller 2-in / 4-out or 2-in / 6-out controller can provide. Typical applications include multi-zone commercial audio, theatre systems, performance venues, hospitality installations, houses of worship, live sound racks and systems using Martin Audio O-Line, U-Hub or iKON amplifier infrastructure.
Housed in a 1U rackmount chassis, the Martin Audio DX4.0 measures 482mm x 44mm x 184mm and weighs 2.7kg. It provides a powerful and compact control solution for professional audio systems requiring Dante connectivity, matrix routing, advanced DSP and reliable loudspeaker protection.
