The KV2 Audio ES1.0 is a high-performance three-way mid/high loudspeaker designed to form the core of the acclaimed ES modular sound system when paired with the dedicated EPAK2500 or EPAK2500R control and amplification unit. Engineered for exceptional clarity, dynamic headroom and precise system integration, the ES1.0 delivers powerful and articulate performance across live sound, touring and installed applications.
The three-way enclosure incorporates a 12-inch horn-loaded mid-bass driver, a 6-inch horn-loaded midrange transducer and a 1.75-inch titanium compression driver, providing detailed high-frequency response, controlled midrange projection and impactful low-mid energy. The rotatable horn assembly allows the system to be configured in either vertical or horizontal orientation, offering deployment flexibility. Two ES1.0 cabinets can also be coupled horizontally to create an extended long-throw solution for larger venues.
Each ES1.0 requires a dedicated EPAK2500 or EPAK2500R amplifier and control unit, which provides optimised system alignment and power management. In addition to powering the three-way mid/high enclosure, a fourth amplifier channel within the EPAK unit is dedicated to driving compatible ES Series subwoofers. Subwoofer options include the ES1.5 single 15-inch enclosure, the ES1.8 horn-reflex single 18-inch subwoofer and the ES2.5 or ES2.6 dual 15-inch asymmetrical bass modules, available in 4Ω or 8Ω configurations.
The ES system has been designed for true plug-and-play operation. A multi-position switch on the EPAK control unit enables straightforward selection of subwoofer combinations, eliminating the need for complex outboard processing or advanced acoustic measurement. The integrated control electronics continuously monitor and maintain optimal alignment between amplifier channels and transducers, ensuring precise time coherence, phase accuracy and controlled power delivery.
By perfectly matching amplification and loudspeaker components, the ES system achieves performance levels typically unattainable with passive systems. The result is exceptional resolution, depth, output level and long-term reliability, delivering a highly efficient and scalable modular solution for professional audio environments.
