The INTUSONIC INTUWORX ASA12 is a professional rack mount mobile device connection bay designed to bring modern media playback into installed sound systems. Built for commercial AV installations, it allows a phone, tablet or compatible mobile device to be securely placed, powered and connected directly within a 19-inch equipment rack.
Designed as a modern alternative to outdated rack lights and basic input plates, the ASA12 combines device retention, audio connectivity, charging and rack illumination into a single professional installation accessory.
The ASA12 provides a secure and practical way to use mobile devices as part of a fixed audio system. Instead of leaving a phone or tablet loose on top of a rack, shelf or mixer, the device can be held neatly within the rack space and connected as a permanent or semi-permanent playback source.

The ASA12 supports several connection methods, allowing installers and end users to choose the most suitable option for the system and device. These include wired 3.5mm TRS input, USB-C digital audio compatibility and INTUSONIC LINKOUSTIK wireless connectivity.
This flexibility allows the ASA12 to work across a wide range of real-world applications, whether the priority is simple analogue connection, digital device audio or wireless convenience.
Once connected, the ASA12 converts the selected mobile device source into a proper line-level audio signal for integration with professional audio systems. Rear output options include balanced terminal connections, balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs, making it easy to connect into mixers, zone controllers, amplifiers and DSP-based systems.
A front-panel output level control and LED VU meter provide simple monitoring and adjustment, while a rear maximum output level control allows installers to set sensible limits during commissioning.
The ASA12 includes a secure elastic holder strip to retain the connected device safely within the rack bay. This provides a much cleaner and more professional installation than loose devices or temporary charging cables.
A front USB-A charging port supports 5V/2A charging with power delivery capability, helping keep the connected device powered while in use as a playback source.
In addition to mobile device integration, the ASA12 includes a built-in down-facing LED rack light. The daylight white LED strip helps illuminate equipment below the unit, making it easier to view controls, meters and connections inside darker rack environments.
The rack light includes dimming and on/off control, allowing the brightness to be adjusted to suit the installation without distracting from the connected device display.
The ASA12 is supplied as a 19-inch rack mount device with a full metal chassis, detachable rack ears and handles. It can accommodate devices up to 6.3 inches in its standard 2U configuration, while the included 2U extension panel provides space for larger devices up to 10 inches.
This makes it suitable for both phone and tablet-based playback applications, depending on system requirements.
