The INTUSONIC INTUPAK VLA42 is a compact volume control node designed to add practical source selection and master volume control to installed audio systems. Built for commercial AV environments, it provides a simple way to manage up to four audio sources from the unit itself, by infrared remote control, or via a compatible RS485 wall panel.

The VLA42 allows users to switch between four line-level audio inputs, making it a practical control point for systems with multiple music or playback sources. It is particularly useful where several source devices need to feed a single amplifier, mixer or audio system without requiring a larger control unit.

The VLA42 includes an IR receiver and is supplied with an INTUSONIC IRB44 infrared remote control, allowing convenient operation without direct interaction with the unit. A 3.5mm IR extension port is also provided, enabling the control node to be hidden away in a ceiling void, cabinet or equipment location while still allowing IR operation.
The VLA42 provides a balanced master output via terminal connection, allowing clean and reliable integration with amplifiers, mixers, DSP units or other professional audio equipment. Its high-headroom digital potentiometer circuitry helps maintain strong audio performance while providing smooth and accurate level control.
Housed in a full metal case, the VLA42 is designed for flexible installation in commercial environments. It can be used as a standalone control node, surface-mounted using compatible brackets, or rack-mounted with the optional JUP2 rackmount kit.
