The FBT Ventis 115A is a professional active 2 way point source loudspeaker designed for live sound, fixed installation and portable AV applications where high output, strong full-range performance and flexible onboard control are required. The Ventis 115A is one of the larger active point source models in the Ventis range, offering increased low-frequency weight and higher output compared with smaller 8", 10" and 12" cabinets. It is suitable for use as a main PA loudspeaker, stage system, front-of-house cabinet, fixed installation speaker or as part of a wider sound reinforcement setup with subwoofers. Power is delivered by an integrated bi-amplified system, with 700W RMS dedicated to the low frequency section and 200W RMS for the high frequency section. Additional DSP functions include a high-pass filter, mic/line selector, low, mid and high EQ, delay adjustment from 0 to 10 metres, and three limiter modes: MIN, NORMAL and MAX. These features make the Ventis 115A more flexible than a basic active speaker, especially for installers and sound engineers who need to optimise performance to suit the room, system layout or type of event. The delay function is particularly useful when the loudspeaker is used as part of a distributed or delay-fill system.
The cabinet is constructed from birch plywood with internal bracing and a scratch-resistant finish, making it suitable for professional use across both installation and portable applications. Aluminium handles with rubber inserts are included to support handling, while the 1.38" pole mount socket allows the cabinet to be used on a speaker stand or pole above a subwoofer. The 45° sloped profile also allows it to be positioned on stage as a monitor where required.
