The AV:Link Double Gang Steel Brush Wallplate is a practical cable feed-through solution for AV installations where cables need to pass neatly through a wall, cabinet, display position or equipment area. Designed as a standard double gang wallplate, it provides a clean and professional finish while allowing HDMI, speaker, data, control, power supply or other low-voltage AV cables to pass through the aperture without requiring fixed connector modules.
This wallplate is particularly useful for commercial AV installers, electricians, home cinema integrators, display installers and general AV contractors who need a simple way to manage visible cable entry and exit points. It is well suited to wall-mounted TVs, interactive displays, projectors, media players, meeting room screens, digital signage installs, classroom AV systems, hospitality displays and residential media setups. Where cables need to remain accessible or interchangeable, a brush wallplate can often be more flexible than a fully terminated faceplate.
The double gang format provides a larger cable opening than a single gang wallplate, making it suitable for installations where multiple cables need to be passed through the same point. The wallplate features a 100 x 50mm aperture, giving enough space for larger AV connectors to be fed through during installation. This is useful when working with pre-terminated cables such as HDMI leads, network cables, control cables or other AV interconnects where cutting and re-terminating the cable is not preferred.
Twin brushes are fitted across the aperture to help conceal the cable opening and reduce the visible gap around the cables. This creates a tidier appearance once the installation is complete, helping the wallplate blend into the surrounding wall or equipment area. The white steel finish is suitable for many commercial and residential interiors, particularly where white accessories are already being used across the installation.
The brush insert can also be removed to make installation easier. This allows cables and connectors to be passed through the aperture with less restriction before the brush section is repositioned. For installers working on tight timelines or with bulkier cable ends, this can make the fitting process more straightforward and reduce unnecessary strain on the cables during installation.
