This Citronic CASA-8A and CASA-12BA Active PA Speaker & Subwoofer Kit is a compact stereo PA system designed for users who need more low-frequency output than a pair of standalone speakers can provide. Combining two CASA-8A active PA speakers with two CASA-12BA active 12" subwoofers, this kit is well suited to mobile DJs, parties, presentations, small venues, schools, rehearsal rooms, fitness instruction and general portable sound applications.
Each CASA-8A is a compact 8" active moulded PA speaker with built-in Class D amplification, DSP speaker profiles, Bluetooth connectivity and USB/SD media playback. This makes the system easy to use for speech, music playback and small event sound, with input options suitable for mixers, microphones, laptops and other audio sources.
The CASA-12BA active subwoofers add dedicated low-frequency support to the system, helping create a fuller and more powerful sound for music playback and live use. Each subwoofer includes a 12" driver, Class D amplification, left and right balanced XLR inputs and outputs, and a 35mm pole mount socket for mounting the CASA-8A speakers above the subs.
This kit includes two UTX 212 winch speaker poles, allowing the top speakers to be positioned neatly above the subwoofers while making height adjustment easier during setup. It also includes two 10m XLR-XLR leads and two 2m XLR-XLR leads, providing practical signal cabling for a typical left and right sub/satellite configuration.
As each speaker and subwoofer is self-powered, no external amplifier is required, although each cabinet will require mains power. This makes the kit simple to transport, set up and expand, while still providing the benefit of a proper subwoofer-supported PA system.
