The Citronic CASA-12BA is a compact 12" active subwoofer cabinet designed to add low-frequency support to CASA full-range speakers and other active PA systems. With a built-in Class D amplifier, 400W RMS output and 1400W peak output, it provides a practical bass extension option for mobile DJs, small venues, rehearsal spaces, parties, presentations and general portable PA use.
The front-loaded 12" sub driver helps deliver additional warmth, punch and low-end weight for music playback and live sound applications. It is particularly useful where smaller top speakers need extra bass support, allowing the main speakers to focus on mid and high-frequency coverage while the subwoofer handles the lower frequencies.
Connectivity is designed for active PA system setups, with left and right balanced XLR line inputs, balanced line outputs and link outputs. The output section includes a switchable high-pass crossover, allowing connected active top speakers to receive a filtered signal when required. A phase switch is also included to help reduce cancellation and support better alignment between subwoofer and top speakers.
The CASA-12BA cabinet is constructed from 15mm MDF with a durable textured finish, side carry handles and a 35mm pole mount socket. This allows a compatible top speaker to be mounted above the subwoofer using a suitable speaker pole, creating a neat and compact sub/satellite PA system.
Supplied with an IEC mains lead, the CASA-12BA is self-powered and does not require a separate amplifier. It is a useful addition to CASA speaker systems where a fuller, more powerful sound is required without moving to a larger full-range cabinet.
