The Allen & Heath SQ5 is a professional 48-channel digital mixing console built around a powerful 96kHz FPGA processing engine, delivering ultra-low latency and exceptional audio fidelity for live sound, studio recording and fixed installation environments. The console offers 48 input channels and 36 buses, including 12 stereo mixes and 3 stereo matrices, supporting complex monitor configurations and multi-zone applications. Sixteen onboard XLR mic preamps with recallable settings ensure consistent performance and rapid setup across touring and installed systems. Seventeen motorised faders arranged over six layers provide flexible mix control and efficient workflow management.
A responsive 7-inch capacitive touchscreen enables fast navigation and clear visual feedback, while DEEP processing architecture allows embedded plugins to be integrated directly within channels for advanced dynamics and tonal shaping without added latency.
